What is Business Activity Statement (BAS)

A business activity statement (BAS) is a report that businesses use to declare and pay their taxes. The BAS includes information on a business's sales, GST collected, and other taxes payable.

BAS statements are usually issued quarterly, but can be issued monthly or annually depending on the size of the business. Businesses must lodge their BAS within 21 days of the end of the reporting period.

If you're running a business, it's important to understand how to prepare and lodge your BAS. This will help you stay on top of your tax obligations and avoid any penalties.
